Trelawney Stud is managed by husband and wife team Brent and Cherry Taylor.  Before coming on as stud master Brent gained international experience giving him the knowledge and expertise necessary to run a top rated thoroughbred stud.  From mating matches, foal management, sales preparation, and placement of racehorses Brent is scrupulous in his decisions, always conscious of what is best for the farm and for the horses.

Cherry holds a prominent role when it comes to marketing and client relations, especially around sales time.  She manages bloodstock for several clients, both in New Zealand and offshore.  Cherry also runs her own insurance company CNTaylor Consulting.

Milly hails from the Manawatu and has been at Trelawney since 1998.  An early interest in horses was apparent when his mother used to find him next door sitting in the paddock with local trainer Barry Lumsdon’s horses.  From there he went on to muck out boxes for Murray Baker before school, way back when Baker only had three horses in work.  Things progressed and Milly has worked many leading Australasian thoroughbred farms including Cambridge Stud, was foreman for Brian Mayfield-Smith of 10 years, and was even a trainer in his own right at Scone for a spell.
