News From the Trelawney Broodmare Band 3 Nov 2006
As with many studs at this time of the year, Trelawney Stud now has a majority of its 2006 foal crop on the ground. Trelawney is home to an elite broodmare band of just under fifty mares and some of the notable arrivals include:

Ch filly ex Astralita (Aus) (Kenny’s Best Pal).
Astralita is a Group Two winner and the dam of stakes performer Astronomia who is now in the Godolphin stable. She has a filly foal at foot by Johar and has been covered by Savabeel.

Bay colt ex Baroness Britney (Aus) (Barathea
A winner at two and half sister to stakes winners Latin Quarter and Elected, Baroness Britney has a colt at foot by Fastnet Rock and is in foal to Lohnro.

Br filly ex Exquisitely (Aus) (Snippets)
Purchased at the Magic Millions Broodmare Sale in June, Exquisitely foaled a brown filly by Redoute’s Choice and is in foal to Stratum.

Br colt ex Kristique (USA) (Kris S)
A daughter of four-time G1 winner Nastique and half sister to stakes winners Nobo Brush and Thunder Kitten, she has a brown colt by Fusaichi Pegasus at foot and is in foal to General Nediym.

Bay filly ex Love Mary (GB) (Soviet Star)
From the family of Storm Cat, she has a bay filly by Zabeel at foot and will return to Zabeel this spring.

Bay filly ex Luna Tudor (Aus) (Military Plume)
A Group Two winner and winner of 10, she foaled a bay filly by Fastnet Rock this season.

Br filly ex Maybe Yes (Aus) (Last Tycoon)
The dam of G1 Avondale Cup-winner The Mighty Lions, she recently foaled a brown filly by Savabeel and will be covered by Duelled this season.

Bay filly ex Party Queen (NZ) (Gold Brose)
A Group winner and multiple stakes performer, Party Queen foaled a bay filly by Elusive City in September and is in foal to Pins.

Bay colt ex Pernod (NZ) (Centaine)
A G1 winner over 1400m in Australia from the family of Eastern Joy, Piachay and Russian Pearl, Pernod produced her second foal this spring, a bay colt by Zabeel.

Bay colt ex Real Success (Aus) (Success Express)
A Group Two-winner and the dam of Queensland Oaks-winner Vouvray, she foaled a full brother to Vouvray in October, a bay colt by Zabeel and will visit O’Reilly.

Black filly ex Sustaad (NZ) (Kaapstad)
A Group Three-winner, Sustaad foaled a black filly by Savabeel and will be covered by Elusive City this spring.

Br colt ex Tutuland (Fr) (Green Desert)
A daughter of stakes placed Irish River mare Egine, Tutuland is from the family of European Champion Older Horse Air De Cour. Imported from France by Trelawney, she produced her first foal this spring, a brown colt by Danzero and is in foal to Snitzel.

In other news, two mares to join the Trelawney broodmare band this spring were Queensland Oaks-winner Vouvray (NZ (Zabeel) and Group Two-winner Mistrale (NZ) (Volksraad). Both mares visited Flying Spur in early September and are in foal. Another addition has been five-time Australian metropolitan winner Rationalize who has been covered by Fastnet Rock.

Rationaine (NZ) (Centaine), dam of VRC Derby-winner Amalfi is safely in foal to Encosta de Lago while Carmel Valley (Aus) (Last Tycoon) has been covered by Savabeel.
